English Language Challenges

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about my experience with the English language. 

Learning English at university is not easy at all, especially if you don't have a good knowledge base about the language . The truth is, I've had a hard time keeping up with the classes, because my vocabulary is quite reduced, and I have a hard time understanding what they say to me when someone speaks to me, it's easier to understand when it's written.

The use of blogs has helped me to learn new words, to improve writing, spelling and to know the different points of view and tastes that exist among my classmates.

My English needs to be improved, especially the speaking English, which is something I find difficult and scary, because I haven't had any practice. I could improve by learning a new word a day and its pronunciation to expand my vocabulary, especially learning the verbs. Listening to more music, hearing more conversations and also practicing speaking with someone, so that I become a little more fluent and don't get so scared when you need to talk to an expert

In these days I don't make much use of the language, before I used to listen to music, I learned the lyrics of the songs and their meaning or gave me the time to watch movies to learn new words and their pronunciation, but now with the academic load there is no time left to indulge in those pleasures. I use English when we have to look for information in documents to do some evaluated work, or when there is some instruction that does not come in Spanish.

"CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME"

 

I am currently studying Chemistry and Pharmacy. There are subjects in the study program that are really relevant to my career, but there are other subjects that are totally unnecessary in my opinion, eliminating them from the program would significantly decrease the workload and length of the career, which is already quite extensive in comparison to other universities. In addition, there are annual subjects that increase the length of the program when you fail them.

Another change in the faculty would be to improve the infrastructure, for example, the classrooms, more green areas, because our faculty is mostly surrounded by cement,

upgrade the lab room and have more places to study. I believe that our faculty is poor in terms of technology compared to other faculties, has very few computers available for work and most of the time they are busy and projectors that sometimes don't work.

Each teacher has his or her own method of teaching, and it is somewhat more complicated to change, since they have been teaching the same way for several years now and some refuse to implement new things or the use of technology in their classes. You always learn and understand better with one teacher than with another, but you don't always have the possibility to be with them, since the subjects are mostly divided into sections.

             I know the changes are expensive, but they would be worth it for a better education.

A MUSIC ARTIST

I don't really have only one favorite singer, I like singers such as Francisca Valenzuela, Mon Laferte and Denise Rosenthal, but today I will talk about Denise Rosenthal. I like very much that the women of Chile have so much talent and that is reflected in their songs.

She is a Chilean singer, songwriter and actress. She is 30 years old. Her first television appearance was in the series Amango in 2007, the blog de la Feña in 2008 (where becomes famous) and in several other Chilean productions such as television series and movies. He released her first album in 2013.

Her style of music is based on the pop. Denise's band is integrated only of womens.

The lyrics of her songs always invite to reflect and to talk about respect, appreciation and self-esteem, encouraging women to love themselves. I really like her music.

The songs I like the most from this artist are "Tiene sabor", "Encadená", "El amor no duele" and "La santería", which is a musical collaboration with Danna Paola and Lola Indigo.

I have had the opportunity to be in three of her concerts, and to get to know her. Her shows are really incredible and motivating, with their dances, melodies and games, they fill the whole place with joy and good vibes.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE/SERIES

 Hello people!

Today I will talk about Harry Potter, it is my favorite book and movie saga. Since I was very young my mother read these books to me, taking me into the magic world. This saga is made up of 8 movies and 7 books.

The first film called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was released in 2001, where the main actors are Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). Emma is one of my favorite actresses, she is an intelligent, beautiful and brave woman, just like her character.

The story is based on the life of Harry who was an orphan boy who lived with his cruel uncles until he found out he was a wizard. He learns the tragic story behind his scar and that of the death of his parents, finally discovering that his destiny is linked to that of Voldemort, the cause of all these tragedies, and that he must be the one to prevent the resurgence of the so-called “Dark Lord”. All this while he studies at Hogwarts and meets those who will be his best allies.

It really is a great film, ideal for all tastes and with a great story behind it.

                      

THE BEST HOLIDAY

 

Hello everyone, today I will talk to you about the vacations that until now have been one of my favorites and of which I have the most beautiful memories, they were a long time ago, in my childhood.

 It was in 2008, I was 8 years old and my aunt invited us to the beach, we were my grandmother, my mom, my sister, my aunt and I, specifically we went to Pichilemu, located in the VI Region.

I remember that we woke up very early that day, around 5 a.m., took the first bus we found and left. It was a long trip, but the view was beautiful. We stayed there for a week, we rented a cabin located near the beach, it was a big, comfortable and nice place, from there you could hear the sea, there was no good phone signal, we were disconnected from everything, so we just enjoyed ourselves.

That week was great for me, we visited several craft fairs, we explored several places nearby like Punta de Lobos, La Puntilla, during the day we visited all the attractions of the city and the natural areas, we bathed on the beaches, we rode in the carriages, we watched the sunsets, some nights we went to a game fair, it was a very fun and adventurous experience.

I Country I Would Like To Visit Say

 Hello everyone!!!!, today I will talk to you about my travel plans that I hope to make one day.

 One of the countries I would like to visit is the United States, specifically the city of Orlando Florida in order to visit the Harry Potter theme park. I am a big fan of this saga since I was very young and I would love to be in such a magical place like that.

Another country I would like to visit is Finland, located at the northern end of the European continent, bordering Sweden, Norway and Russia, a country with snow and a cold climate. Its language is too complicated to live there, I would only go there to visit. Being there I would like to go to the Igloos in Levi (near the town of Kittilä in Lapland) to see the northern lights that have always attracted my attention for their bright colors. Once there, you can visit many more places with beautiful landscapes, I will leave you some pictures.
